The Member of Parliament for Assin Central, Kennedy Agyapong, has expressed preparedness to share his vision with the opposition should he be elected president of the Republic.
We are divided along political party lines, and that must stop, according to the lawmaker who has declared his interest in running in the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) presidential primary elections.
According to him, Ghana’s development is seriously threatened by the division.
He bemoaned the lack of unity in the nation due to its extreme polarization.
He believed it was acceptable for an elected official to discuss his vision with the opposition.
He pointed out that such an action would result in a group effort to develop Ghana.
He emphasized that by doing that, he demonstrates his competence as a leader who is eager to bring the country together for development.
In this country, there is no unity.
The nation is so divided.
We cannot advance this nation without unity.
In order to get the NDC’s support, I will explain my goals to them and let them know what I am unable to do.
That does not imply that I lack direction.
I refer to that as group support.
We seek general support, and when we work together to build Ghana, we can change this nation, he stated.
