I felt Ebony’s presence during the sing-a-thon – Afua Asantewaa
Afua Asantewaa Aduonum claimed to have sensed the late Ghanaian singer Ebony Reigns’ presence during her sing-a-thon, and she recently made an attempt to break the record for the longest singing marathon.
Asantewaa described how, while performing Ebony’s song at the sing-a-thon, a door that had been closed unexpectedly opened. She made this revelation in a recent interview with Kingdom FM.
“There was one particular door we never opened unless there was a visitor coming in, but during the time I was singing Ebony’s song, the door opened on its own, and that was when I felt Ebony’s presence,” she said.
Afua Asantewaa attempted to break a new Guinness World Record in December 2023 by singing for 127 hours straight.
Afua Asantewaa has been appearing in the media and talking about her sing-a-thon experience while she waits for the outcome of her attempt.
Ghanaian dancehall/Afrobeats singer Priscilla Opoku-Kwarteng (16 February 1997 – 8 February 2018), better known by her stage name Ebony Reigns, was well-known for her hits “Poison” and “Kupe.”
It was Bullet from Ruff n Smooth who found her.
On February 8, 2018, Ebony lost her life in an automobile accident at the age of 20.
