I refused a Range Rover and GH1.6 million bribe to paralyze Chief of staff – Nigel Gaisie claims
This request, according to Nigel, was made by a prominent NPP (New Patriotic Party) member.
The person said that President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo had guaranteed him of Frema’s job but that he had been passed over.
“One of their people came to me, saying I should pray for him because the current President, Nana Akufo-Addo, had promised him the position…,” he stated during a recent appearance on the Atuu show on UTV, hosted by Abeiku Aggrey Santana.
Nigel revealed that as an additional enticement for the spiritual request, this guy offered a brand-new Range Rover and GH1.6 million.

“He brought a white Range Rover in addition to an amount of GH¢1.6 million, which is equivalent to 1.6 billion in old Ghanaian currency. He came with his bodyguard, who is a soldier,” he said.
Prophet Nigel, who claimed to have witnesses to the incident, stated that the man, who is now deceased, had asked for one of three things, including a prayer to paralyze the Chief of Staff.
He emphasized that, as a man of God, he possessed the power to bless or destroy and chose not to fulfill the man’s request.
“I didn’t do it; I rather encouraged him… He requested one of three things, either to cause the woman to be paralyzed so she couldn’t take up the job,” he explained.
From 2005 until 2009, Frema Akosua Osei-Opare represented Ayawaso West Wuogon in the legislature. She was the first woman to hold the job in Ghana when President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo named her as his Chief of Staff in 2017. When he was elected to a second term in 2020, the president kept her appointment.
