I Have Never Spoken To Akufo-Addo After Number 12 Exposé – Kwasi Nyantakyi
Years after being charged with fraud and corruption, Kwasi Nyantakyi, the former president of the Ghana Football Association, claims he has not yet had a one-on-one discussion with President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.
These accusations are related to offenses that investigative journalist Anas Aremeyaw Anas documented for his documentary Number 12.
Nyantakyi is purportedly shown in the documentary accepting gifts and money and selling influence.
He was also heard saying “I have the president [Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo] in my pocket” while discussing a lucrative deal with some ‘fake Arabs’ in Dubai.
Later, the president issued an order for his arrest in order to assist with the investigation of the videotaped act.
Kwesi Nyantakyi claimed that this embarrassed both him and his close family.
He claimed there was a purpose behind the exposé’s planning.
Speaking on Starr Chat with Bola Ray, which Peacefmonline.com was watching, Kwasi Nyantakyi stated he is close to the president, whom he referred to as his “father,” and “holds no grudges”.
“He [President Nana Akufo-Addo] is like a father to me but we have not spoken since the incident. Maybe at the right time we will.” He said.
