New Force spokesperson granted bail
Spokesman for the New Force Shalimar Abbiussi has been given bail by a Kaneshie District court.
This occurs one week after she was detained and accused of making a false statement to obtain a student permit.
A fake declaration was allegedly made in order to get a student permit by the New Force spokesperson.
To the charge, Ms. Shalimar has entered a not guilty plea.
Concern over the situation was earlier voiced by the group in a news release dated December 7.
Last week, the Kaneshie District court remanded the accused individual into lawful detention with an expected reappearance today, giving the prosecution a few days to wrap up their investigations.
She was brought to the courthouse premises this morning by National Bureau of Investigation personnel.

Some persons were spotted hoisting placards at the premises with the inscription ‘Justice for Shallie’ among others.
Ms. Abbiusi made her public debut in a video announcing plans to reveal their platform for the upcoming election.
The film, among other things, questioned the leadership’s responsibility in resolving the problems of the populace by highlighting the suffering of Ghanaians under the Akufo-Addo administration and drawing attention to recent demonstrations.
According to a news release from New Forces, Ms. Abbiusi’s arbitrary incarceration raises severe concerns about the misuse of power, persecution of political opponents, and other abuses of human rights.
