Former First Lady Arrested Over Alleged Theft
Zambian police have detained former President Edgar Lungu’s wife on three accusations, including theft of a motor vehicle, which she denies.
Esther Lungu, who is now detained in Lusaka, has been arrested together with three others.
In a statement, police spokesperson Danny Mwale revealed that the quartet had also been charged with one count of stealing a certificate of title for a property in Lusaka.

They are also accused of possessing property thought to be the proceeds of crime.
Several former ministers, government officials, and members of Mr Lungu’s family are being investigated for possible criminal activity.
They have all denied any wrongdoing.
