ET Mensah goes home on Friday

ET Mensah, a former member of the Council of State and member of Parliament for the Ningo-Prampram constituency, will be laid to rest on Friday, January 5, 2024, on the State House courtyard.

On January 4, 2024, from 5 to 10 p.m., he will be lain in state at his Prampram home. The next day, his last funeral ceremonies will take place.

On Sunday, January 7, 2024, there will also be a thanksgiving ceremony at the Methodist Church in Prampram.

ET Mensah, who was 77 years old, passed away in October 2023 in South Africa following a protracted illness.

On October 10, the late MP’s remains arrived in Ghana from South Africa.


Born on May 17, 1946, Enoch Teye Mensah served as Ghana’s Minister of Education and a member of parliament from January 1997 until January 2017.

He was a government portfolio holder. He served as a member of the Council of State until his death.

He was married with seven children and was known by the popular name ET Mensah.
