ECG sacks11 Top Executives
The DAILY GUIDE has learned that THE ELECTRICITY Company of Ghana (ECG) has fired 11 top executives for allegedly causing the business to suffer financial loss.
Among other senior staff members, these top executives included Treasury Executives, Senior IT Assistants, Assistant Accounting Officers, Artisans, and Customer Service Officers.
According to a dependable ECG source who asked to remain anonymous, the impacted senior executives engaged in a number of illicit actions that had a negative impact on the ECG’s finances.
Their offenses included falsifying documents, altering payment information, making unauthorized payments and transfers, among other things, which cost the ECG money.

A few of the fired officials were also found guilty of leaving their positions without getting approval from the ECG administration or their superiors.
Until they received their sack letters, indicating that their services were no longer required, the affected staff members were assigned to various parts of the nation.
“As at August 2023, 11 top executives of the ECG from the various regions have been sacked by management for causing financial loss to the company,” the source said.

Although the source omitted to name the fired executives, it was firmly claimed that management had already given them their letters of termination.
The 11 fired employees were given plenty of chance to defend themselves, but they didn’t, according to the DAILY GUIDE’s investigations, which resulted to their firing.
The publication has also learned that the current ECG management has put procedures in place to prohibit theft and other illicit acts since it is determined to safeguard the company’s finances.
