Everyone was wondering who was/is going to be the chief pilot for the most anticipated show, Vodafone Ghana Music Awards for this year.

Well information reaching the front desk of  Ghanaown.com  indicates that, Charter House, the official organisers of the annual music award scheme has tapped on Ghanaian  broadcaster and Fashion Icon, Kofi Okyere Darko popularly  known by the abbreviated form of his name KOD.

KOD has over 2 years working experience in the Ghanaian entertainment industry and known to be the brain behind many Ghanaian  artiste including; Wutah, Praye, Daasebre Gyamena, Ofori Amponsah, Tinny and among others.

The responsibility of serving as a host is nothing new to him has  he has served on a couple of event platforms including; Nescafe African Revelation in West and Central Africa, Miss Malaika, Miss Ghana  and Mis Ghana UK, Kwame Nkrumah’s Centenary celebrations, TV3  Mentor and popular tv reality show Hanging put with KOD on GhOne tv.

As if that is not enough, he is known to have a high sense for fashion and owns the celebrity clothing line Nineteen 57.

He was adjudged ‘The Most Fashionable Man of  the Year at the 2017 Exclusive Men of the Year event. He also won ‘Most stylish Radio Personality of the Year’ at the 2015 Glitz Style Awards,  and also emerged as the  ‘Male fashion Celebrity Icon’ of the year at the 2016 GHana Fashion Awards.

The  VGMA awards scheme was instituted some two decades ago to recognize, celebrate the hard work and dedication of various stakeholders and players in the entertainment industry.

The event will be held on Saturday, May 18, 2019 at the Accra International Conference Center.
