Measures are in place to employ jobless nurses – MoH
The Ministry of Health (MoH) has responded to complaints raised by unemployed nurses, midwifery groups, and rotational nurses in Accra regarding the hiring of health staff and the payment of past-due allowances.
The Ministry of Health’s Public Relations Officer, Isaac Offei Baah, reaffirmed the agency’s commitment to swiftly resolving these issues during a press briefing.
“Unfortunately, we have gotten to this level, but we are all aware that we cannot employ without clearance from the Ministry of Finance.
Their leader, who always comes to negotiate on their behalf, can attest to the fact that we have given him copies of evidence to show that the Ministry of Health is committed to ensuring their recruitment and ensuring their posting.”
