Chelsea have made contact with Bayern Munich star Robert Lewandowski with a view to convincing him to sign in the transfer window.

It comes after Tuchel made bringing in a striker a top priority to complete his squad.

The Blues have looked decent under the German, with them currently third in the Premier League and a Champions League final this month.

But one problem he has faced is Chelsea’s profligacy, with Timo Werner guilty of missing a number of glorious chances.

Tuchel has been keen to bring in a striker and several have been linked, including Borussia Dortmund ace Haaland and Tottenham striker Kane.
