Captain Smart angrily replies Kennedy Agyapong

Ace Ghanaian journalist,  Captain Smart has hit back at Assin Central Member of Parliament, Mr. Kennedy Agyapong over allegations that he issued a bounced cheque to a certain woman.

According to Captain Smart, some people in Ghana behave as if Kennedy Agyapong is a magistrate. He says people rather send information to him instead of the Police or heading towards the court. Captain Smart made the comment on Kingdom Fm’s Afro Joint program, a report culled from Opera News indicates.

It would be recalled Mr. Kennedy Agyapong alleged that Captain Smart bought furniture from a woman and issued a cheque of five thousand Ghana cedis as payment. Mr. Kennedy Agyapong indicates that the woman went to the bank to withdraw her money only to realize that the account was empty.

Responding to the allegation, Captain Smart indicated that if the woman feels cheated, she could report him to the police and not Kennedy Agyapong.

“I don’t want the battle to be about me and anyone but the system. You know my house if I’m owing you. The court is also there. If you summon me, I will be called by the court. They say I have signed a cheque of GHC 5,000 and it has bounced. The person who sent the cheque to my uncle Kennedy Agyapong only wants to deceive him”. He indicated.

He does not understand why a cheque that was issued in 2018 is coming up at this moment. He says people are just trying to turn Kennedy Agyapong into a magistrate.

“If it’s a bounced cheque, it is the police station you send to and not Kennedy Agyapong. You want to turn Kennedy Agyapong into a magistrate with a cheque that has no stamp on it. They are talking about a bounced check that was issued in 2018 then you send it to Kennedy Agyapong”. He added.

Captain Smart believes he is facing such challenges because of the new path he has taken.

“Whenever someone rises to defend the truth some of these things will work against you. I learned my courage from Nana. He stood up for the Kumipreko demonstration when everyone was running away. So if anybody is sitting anywhere and thinks they can bring me down, I don’t care. What I care about is this country”. Captain Smart indicated.
