The ridesharing startup Bolt has introduced a new feature as part of its in-app safety toolbox that enables drivers and passengers to initiate an audio recording of their trip in the Bolt app and report it to the Customer Support team if they ever feel uncomfortable during a ride.
The function is a part of Bolt’s continuing efforts to improve the platform’s safety measures.
Additional security features on the Bolt app include identity verification for drivers during registration and ongoing use of selfie AI technology, trip sharing for riders (which allows for real-time location sharing with friends and family), and the emergency assist button, which enables both drivers and passengers to quickly and covertly alert emergency services in case of an emergency.
