BECE Will Surely Come Off – WAEC PRO

The Basic Education Certificate Examinations (BECE) this year will go according to schedule, according to a guarantee from the West African Examinations Council (WAEC).

About 90% of the Council’s preparations are finished, according to John Kapi, the Public Relations Officer of WAEC, who made this claim in an interview with Kwami Sefa Kayi on Peace FM’s “Kokrokoo” morning show.

For this reason, he believes that the pupils will write the BECE.

WAEC anticipates paying the government more than 90 million cedis to administer the tests.

Out of GH¢95.83 million, WAEC reportedly received only GH¢2.3 million, which they believe is insufficient to plan the tests that are set to start on Monday, July 8 and end on July 15.

To start the exams, the examining organization is requiring payment of at least 50% of the entire cost.

Due to this, there were fears that the BECE may be canceled but Mr. John Kapi has allayed these fears, stating “we have done the preparations…We can indeed do it. The printing and stationery are all ready”.
