Bayern Munich rejects FC Barcelona bid for Lewandowski

According to sources from Germany, Bayern Munich has turned down FC Barcelona’s most recent bid for its star striker Robert Lewandowski.

The Blagrauna’s top transfer target, the Poland captain, has just one year left on his Bavarian contract and is attempting to force a transfer to the Catalans.

Bayern had previously expressed a strong aversion to the idea of offloading their second-best scorer of all-time. However, it was alleged over the weekend that the dominant Bundesliga clubs are now open to discussing a potential transfer with their La Liga rivals.

According to Sky, Bayern intended to start negotiations with Barcelona at €50 million. Additionally, a third offer from president Joan Laporta and his board for €40 million and additional money in variables was rejected, according to BIL BIL 0.0 percent D on Thursday.

The cost is already higher than what Barcelona is willing to spend on a player whose contract will expire in less than a year on August 21 and who already owes the club over $1.5 billion in debt.

However, it appears that if Barcelona is serious about acquiring the talisman—who last left Borussia Dortmund on a free transfer in 2013—they will have to meet Bayern’s asking price for him.
