Donald Trump, a former president of the United States, reiterated his gender-conservative stance.
Trump, in an attack on the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, and Queer (LGBTQ+) population, claims that God initially created just two genders, male and female.
The former president made it clear that if he is elected again, he will take steps to combat what he called the “toxic poison of gender ideology.”
“I will take historic action to defeat the toxic poison of gender ideology and reassert (that) in the beginning, God created two genders, male and female,” he stated to cheers from the audience.
During his tenure in office, Trump is known to have implemented measures that were viewed as anti-LGBTQ+. Since then, Joe Biden, his successor, has changed the majority of those policies.
A law intended to specifically penalize the activities of those participating in LGBTQ+ activities is now being debated in parliament in Ghana.
