The founder and leader of the Ghana Freedom Party (GFP) Akua Donkor claimed he survived an assassination attempt by an unknown gunman in his house in Accra last Sunday.
According to Madam Akua Donkor, the robbers took away an amount of Ghc7000 from her
Speaking on Kumasi- based Angel Drive Time Show hosted by Ike De Unpredictable and Monitored by MyNewsGh.com, Akua Donkor explained that “I was in my office last Sunday and someone came there claiming he voted for me in the 2020 general elections”.
“The person told me he is my party member and he came to motivate me to continue fighting for Ghana and not to lose hope not knowing they had planned to kill me” Akua Donkor revealed
In her account, she added, “When I decided to go home from the office, he joined me for me to drop him on the way. When I was about to get to my house, he pulled a gun and ordered me to give her my money”.
“After he took the money, he told me that he was sent to kill me but he doesn’t know why he feels pity for me so he has to spare my life but he took away the Ghc7000 on me”.
“If not God who came to my intervention, the guy would have killed me because I have decided to fight for Ghana. I will not blame the guy but those who bribed him to kill me” Akua Donkor said.
It is unclear if Madam Akua Donkor has reported the supposed robbery attack to the police or not.
