Antonio Rudiger Unhappy Chelsea Yet To Improve On Contract Offer
Antonio Rudiger has been left angry at Chelsea as the club are yet to improve on their offer of a new contract to him.
The German is in the final year of his contract at Chelsea and negotiations over a new deal have not gone according to plan thus far.
Chelsea want to keep him but so far they have been reticent about meeting the defender’s wage demands on a potential new contract.
Rudiger rejected their last offer of around €8.5m per season, but it has been claimed that Chelsea are yet to improve on that number.
And according to German daily Bild, Rudiger has been left angered by Chelsea and the way they have been trying to negotiate a new contract for him.
The defender has been pivotal under Thomas Tuchel and played a starring role in Chelsea winning the Champions League last season.
The 28-year-old wants his wages to reflect his importance in the Chelsea team and is keen to be one of the highest-paid players in the squad.
Rudiger even held talks with Chelsea chief executive Marina Granovskaia but that has not unlocked the negotiations.
Bayern Munich are interested in signing him on a free transfer next summer and the defender is claimed to be open to a move to Bavaria.
