
Akuffo Addo resumes work after 14 days of self-isolation
The president of Ghana, His Excellency Akuffo Addo is expected to recommence work today Monday, July 20, 2020.
The President went into two weeks (14 days) on Saturday, July 4, 2020 self-isolation after some ministers tested positive for coronavirus.
Akuffo Addo who self-isolated himself in the Presidential Villa as a precautionary measure will attend to business from his office at the Jubilee House today, Monday, 20 July 2020, and also is most likely to attend some important engagements during the week.
According to credible sources, President Akuffo Addo again tested negative for the deadly coronavirus disease.
The President held two virtual meetings – government’s 80th cabinet meeting and a meeting with his 2020 Campaign Communications Advisory Team while in quarantine.
He urged the team to emphasize the need for adherence to Covid-19 safety protocols and also embark on a campaign of issues instead of insults.
“All the memoranda and papers I have not read; I am reading them now. I am finding myself extremely busy,” he said in a video released during one of the virtual meetings.
The President was confident that the performance of his government, with the implementation and fulfillment of key campaign promises, is what would propel his second term bid.
