Adwoa Safo to run for the Dome-Kwabenya seat again in 2024
Sarah Adwoa Safo, a member of the NPP and the representative for Dome-Kwabenya, has declared her desire to run for office once more in the 2024 election.
2012-admitted Adwoa Safo, who has since publicly apologized to the President, Vice President, and NPP leadership for activities she claims have negatively impacted the party, said so during the last week.
In Parliament and the Ministry of Gender, Children, and Social Protection, where she served as Minister, there was a void while she was abroad for over a year.
After touring her district, Sarah Adwoa Safo told reporters that she had already notified the party of her decision to run again. “Politics is a game of numbers, if it’s the will of God and the people want me, I will run again,” Adwoa Safo said.

The MP’s public apology was received well by the New Patriotic Party.
Haruna Mohammed, the NPP’s deputy general secretary, claimed that her apology was well received and improved the party’s reputation. “She has done something positive, and the party welcomes her apology,” Haruna Mohammed remarked.
However, some New Patriotic Party (NPP) officials in the Dome-Kwabenya constituency claim to have accepted Sarah Adwoa Safo’s apologies with a grain of salt.
Theophilus Larbi, the NPP’s Dome-Kwabenya constituency secretary, characterized her apologies as routine and warned that the party’s prospects in the district may suffer if she were to be re-elected as a parliamentary candidate in the upcoming general elections.
