The National Maths and Science Quiz (NSMQ) 2023 finals has been postponed for Monday, October 30, 2023 by Primetime Limited, the quiz’s organizers.
Due to the death of Ga Manye Naa Dedei Omaedru III, the finale—which was originally slated for Tuesday, October 24, 2023, at the National Theatre in Accra—was rescheduled for October 31.
But according to a recent release from the organizers, it will now happen on Monday at 2:00 p.m.
Primetime claims that the development is the result of unanticipated events beyond of its control.
Achimota School and Opoku Oware School, two-time champions, will face off in the much-awaited showdown against seven-time winner PRESEC-Legon.
The reigning champion, PRESEC, has its eyes set on achieving an extraordinary feat: consecutive wins.
However, Achimota School and Opoku Ware have the opportunity to seek atonement as they strive to exact revenge for their respective losses to PRESEC Legon in the 2009 and 2020 finals.
